Weight Loss Secrets From The Experts
Commonly it is the secrets of the Hollywood stars that grab the attention of those craving a hot bod! But diet secrets from doctors, stomach-flattening secrets from cosmetic surgeons, or fat burning secrets from trainers, are also popular too. I am going to share something better than the secrets, I will share the truth.
When it comes to Hollywood stars, we are talking about the elite, the cream of the crop in human specimens. Of course the stars look good, as very few make it in the business if they don’t. Most are genetically blessed with an appealing body and good looks. Plus they have the incentive that many of us do not have…If they pork out, they lose opportunities, and thus paychecks.
So if Drew Barrymore has a weight loss secret that she is going to share, it is probably going to make her money, or give her publicity. I don’t know her personally, but doubt if many stars are going to share true “secrets” out of the goodness of their heart. Get real. Most “normal” women would not share such a thing, let alone a woman who’s career is riding on it in a overly competitive market.
And how many secret diets can there possibly be? There are literally hundreds, if not thousands of diets on the market at any given time. There are over 300 million people in this great country and nearly 70% of them are overweight. If a diet really worked, 210 million people would be jumping on it. Come on, get real.
Cosmetic surgeons sometime claim to have the secret to having the flat belly through surgery, while others are legitimate and tell the truth. A legitimate doctor would tell you that liposuction, tummy tucks, or bariatric surgery will not eliminate the fat for life, as you have to change the behaviors that put you there, while others leave that part out, and focus on the short-term success you will experience.
When it comes to the secrets of the personal trainers, I can give you the dirt. There truly are no secrets, but rather differences in knowledge and marketing. I have seen some worthless workouts that were convincingly marketed. A stronger education and better understanding of exercise science is the biggest secret of a trainer. Whether it be the local website, or the infomercial promoting a trainer’s workout, look through the smoke and mirrors of marketing and peek at their credentials. Pick the one with a college degree in an appropriate field, along with extensive experience.
If there were any sort of fitness secret that worked, the lazy people of the world would put forth great effort, ironic but true, to search it out. If money could buy it, the rich and powerful, like Oprah for example, would be skinny. It simply does not exist.
Here is the secret to fitness. Your biggest obstacle, the pothole that will slow you down, the biggest roadblock you will encounter, the one thing that will prevent you from reaching your fitness goals, is you. Looking for the secret diet, secret surgery, or secret workout is simply postponing your eminent failure. The blood, sweat, and tears of a committed healthy lifestyle is the only secret to success.
