I gain weight this time of year. I eat and drink more junk during the holiday season than any other time of year. And you probably do too. This is expected, and gaining a few pounds is the consequence. So what?
This is not the time of year to beat yourself up with guilt for “cheating” on the diet. If you go to a holiday party and are spending quality time with people, enjoy it. Eat and drink. You certainly do not have to be gluttonous, but depriving yourself this time of year is wrong.
The time between Thanksgiving and New Years is not what hurts the waistline the most. It is the time between New Years and Thanksgiving, and that time period we call your lifestyle.
